How Did You Get Started?
After high school I was determined to stay in shape so I started aerobic classes. Soon after I found my way into the gym and was extremely pleased with the results I got from lifting. I competed 2 years later at a whopping 102#! I was hooked on that competitive high. The very next year I competed at 120 and have been gaining ever since.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
People are amazed at how little I can workout and still get amazing results. I’m a big advocate of training each bodypart just once a week and giving your body ample time to rest. Currently I train a 4 on, 1 off. Day 1 - Back/Bi’s. Day 2 - Chest/Tri’s. Day 3 - Quads/Hams. Day 4 - Shoulders/Calves Also, I try to do at least 60 minutes of cardio each day.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
I generally rely on A LOT of food! But it is absolutely necessary to eat/drink additional protein. I either mix with oatmeal or drink Problend 55 Whey Protein 3 times a day.
Why Do You Love Bodybuilding?
Bodybuilding allows me to stay competitive and keeps me working towards something. I believe everyone should have a goal in order to stay motivated. I love the feeling of lifting a lot of weight (more than most guys in the gym!) and I love the looks that I get on the street or shopping at the mall.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I will earn my pro card in 2002. My goal is to bring back the femininity to women’s bodybuilding. I’d like to see the women’s competitions bring in more profit than the men’s do. In order to successfully do this we must keep the ladies marketable.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Never take advice from more than one person and never trust anyone’s advice that doesn’t look like they follow it themselves. Bodybuilding is an individual sport, giving up will only hurt you.
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
I don’t really have favorites - I admire all (honest) bodybuilders, some more than others.
